Frequently asked questions

Straight answers, no angle.

The questions agents ask us most about partnering with Medicare Answers Now. For anything not here, just contact us.

How do you help agents grow their business?

The main reason agents partner with me is the training and coaching. It starts with licensing and contracting, I walk you through the process. Then we set a time to discuss your goals and develop a plan. I run as fast as you do, and it's my job to get you where you want to be. Three months or thirty minutes, either is fine. I empower you to run your business as you need and support you with the education and tools along the way.

How many hierarchies are in your line of business, and who are they?

My partners are TLC Insurance Group and Wealth, and Jack Schroeder & Associates. I also have several GAs in my downline.

Are agents paid directly from all carriers, for both health and life?

Correct. I don't touch your money. Whenever contractually possible, money is paid by the carrier. If the carrier doesn't allow that, it's paid by either JSA or TLC.

Do you require agents to have all contracts under you?

No. I'm grateful for whatever lines you choose to place with me. It's your business, so I want you to have total control. Some like it all in one place, easier submissions, commissions and marketing; others split between uplines. I'm good with whatever works for you.

What is your release policy?

I only want to partner with those who want to work with me. If an agent asks for a release, it is granted immediately.

Do you have a single quoting, SOA and enrollment platform?

Yes! It's called SmartEnroll, a Connecture platform with full functionality to load prospects, keep notes, add medications, run quotes, and text/email Scopes of Appointment and applications. You'll see all available plans in a county and can enroll the ones you're licensed and appointed for under me.

What incentives and co-op do you have for production and marketing?

I help you put together a solid marketing plan, then work to find funding through various channels, JSA, TLC, Medicare Answers Now and the carriers all offer incentives. Co-op is based on your lock-in and AEP plans and past production, not a fixed threshold, so my "new kid" agents can get a start too.

Tell me about the no-cost prospect list.

You can download lists for people age 64¼ and up by county or ZIP, as often as you want. It contains addresses (not phone numbers) and is not scrubbed against the Do Not Call registry, so it isn't for cold-calling by phone.

Is there a cost to print advertising materials from the Marketing ProShop?

We partner with Vistaprint, so ProShop items are at a high-volume discount. They don't fulfill mailings, but I have mail houses that can mail on your behalf, plus a list of preferred vendors for pretty much any business need.

Why should I partner with you, and what makes you different from other MGAs?

I have a unique style of developing agents with a proven 15-year record, across agents and agencies of all levels. I'm direct, with a close ear for agent needs. We don't work together, we partner. I never lose sight of the fact that the agent has choice, so I put all options on the table and empower you to decide, without worrying what "angle" a partner is working. I'd rather you have the whole picture and say "this works" or "this isn't for me" than have a regret.
